To room temp:
1 c milk
4 medium eggs
1 tsp salt
1 c all-purpose flour
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Grease popover pan with 1 tsp lard in each cup. Set greased popover pan in oven for 5 minutes to preheat it.
Break 4 eggs in bowl and whisk. Add room temperature milk to eggs and whisk. Add 1 cup all-purpose flour; whisk with fork to remove lumps. Add salt; whisk with fork.
Fill popover cups 1/2 full. Bake at 450 degrees for 20 minutes. Turn heat down to 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Remove from oven. Serve warm.
