class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><b>Ducks and Geese<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Feed<\/strong> &#8211; Chick Starter (20%) mixed with scratch grains in winter is the best feed for large-framed birds.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Their bone structure needs a lot of protein. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>About one cup a day plus greens, veggies like banana peppers, and fodder from barley in winter.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_ti_Bb3bYlY?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">We keep Pekin Ducks for eggs, Call Ducks for breeding, and Embden Geese as \u201cwatch-geese\u201d.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Ducks and Geese love a pond or pool, and should primarily eat while they are in the water.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>When giving ducks and geese grain-feed, have water nearby.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Geese and ducks also love to graze and ideally will have access to pasture in addition to their pond or pool area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Ducks and Geese are generally docile and can be easily socialized.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Geese will become protective and more aggressive when females are laying, approximately 4 months out of the year.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Goose and duck eggs will hatch at 31 days.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Goslings and Pekin ducklings grow very fast and will generally be completely feathered out in 4 or 5 weeks.<\/p>\n<p><center><\/center><center><\/center><center><\/center><center>Older Posts
