“The orchids are lovely, this time of year,”
\nsaid the goat to the ducklings next door.
\n“So pleasant to look at,
\nimmeasurably bright,
\nand dandy as never before.”<\/p>\n

“The pig food is brilliant,” the rooster observed,
\nas he strutted and puffed out his chest.
\n“I\u2019m sure that I\u2019ve never observed such a feast;
\nquite sure it surpasses the rest.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“The pasture\u2019s divine!\u201d the Orpingtons cooed.
\n“The goats should be praising their luck.”
\nThen Sweetie let out a blood-curdling squeal,
\nthanking stars that she wasn’t a duck.<\/span><\/p>\n

“How do they endure it?\u201d she cried through her gate,
\nas she turned her snout to her peers.
\n“They’ve nothing that I\u2019d want to see on my plate.
\nWhy, I\u2019ve seen nothing like it in years!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The bunnies said nothing, which is par for the course,
\nbut thought to themselves with appall
\n“We won\u2019t see the greenery that we adore
\ntill after the harvest next Fall.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The children avoided the kitchen delights,
\npreferring to lessen the prep.
\nBut ran to the garden to gather their strength,
\nusing carrots as the first step.<\/span><\/p>\n

So taking a lesson from what we\u2019ve observed,
\nWe can say that it\u2019s sad but it\u2019s true.
\nThe appeal of any<\/em> culinary delight
\nIs all in your own point of view.<\/span><\/p>\n
