The Tea Garden Project which we started in 2016 continues with a new Tea Pavilion. We painted a tarp cover and Seth built a table for the space. It’s Lily’s favorite spot to take Fluffy and Peanut, the two bunnies, to play.
Hancock Seed Company – Dade City. Bought 4 (50) lb bags barley seed for fodder and 2 (50) lb bags winter rye to seed the pastures.
Started soaking barley overnight for germinating in the next two days. Remember the fodder from last years. We used barley and oats. Germination on the barley was much better than the oats.
We’ve upped kombucha production by doubling the number of fermenting jars…we went from one to two(!) We are putting 6 bottles of Black Cherry into the fridge every three days. We found these great bottles on the Internet, 16oz size with stainless tops.
Kombucha is a great source of probiotic cultures – good for the gut bugs!
