One of the Red Stars has discovered a delicacy…pig slop! She prefers to live in with Alex and Sweetie, eating food scraps, scrambled eggs, potatoes, carrot peelings, and leftover kefir grains, rather than pecking away at the layer pellets in her home pen. She is trying to convince us that she is, in reality, a pig. I’m not buying it…
Hi today will be 88 and the low overnight 67.

On Sunday morning Cheerio had her piglets. She did not do well and all but one (5) died. We are trying to nurse the little black piggy along, but she is getting weaker. Tried putting her back in with Mom, but no doing. Some females are not good mothers.

Cheerio is the largest of the females being two weeks older than Sweetie and Rachel. She’s eight weeks now and moved in with Alexander today. She’s bigger than he is!
