Here a recent flick of the bunnies. We had the latest three babies together , but there were two males and one female and the dominant male would pull the fur out of the other male and bite his ears. We separated the two males and they seem fine now.
We started last year with two females and a male, New Zealand and California cross. They are supposed to make wonderful moms. Fluffy did well right from the start. Puffy, not so much…She had three litters and didn’t care for them each time. We had to decommission her. Fluffy is doing fine and her latest kits were born last week.
It is so hot here in Florida this year, that the bunnies really suffer. We try to keep them cool with a fan and misting water. When Fluffy was about to have her kits this time, we put her in the Firebee shed. She that thought the AC was great! Then we moved her back out with the newbies and thought she wasn’t feeding them at first. That why you’ll see the dropper feed on the video. We even gave the kit some of Emma’s milk…that was an adventure, first time milking a goat!
Everything is working out fine for Fluffy now. She is feeding them. And Emma can concentrate on KatyToo and Half & Half!
We put out another new sign today. Unfortunately, if you look quick it looks like the farm is for sale !! …had to switch it around

We’re selling Pekin Ducks and baby Bunnies. The Pekins are Giant breed. You can almost watch them grow!
The Bunnies are New Zealand and California mix. Gestation is 21 days. This is the second time around for each of the two Moms. So they did better this time, creating a nest out of the woodchips and their own fur. They each had 3 the first time. This time one had three and the other seven! That’s more like it!
