They’ve never been this big! Tilapia Harvest Fall 2017. A major success…20 meals!!

“What did you think about collecting the tilapia this morning, Lily?”
“It was pretty fun…also smelly and wet!”

The impressions of an 8-yr-old…I imagine there are relatively few 8-yr-olds who go fishing for their dinner in the back yard. She was all about making sure the smaller fish that got caught up in the net, got back into the big pool.

So, after we netted all the larger fish, we put the small fish from the other tanks into the big pool. We ended up putting about 400 fingerlings back into the pool. Next year’s harvest and then some! Tilapia anyone?
