Welcome Kids 2020!

When the mama goats hang on and hang on, you begin to doubt the notes on the calendar.  Five months, that’s it!  How can we be stretching this out into March?!

So finally, Cow and Emma each produce a set of twins on the same cold March night…coldest night of the year, what else?  The little ones are all cleaned up and safely dry by the time we awake to check the pens.  Cow keeps her two baby girls close by, while Emma seems to sigh, “Boys will be boys” as she watches them scamper around the pen.  A sharp peck from the fencing will keep them in for now, but she is making no promises.

Peggy continued to waddle around the barnyard, unaware of what’s coming, but having faith in her humans.  Finally, two more little does join the family, “Tiny” and “Teenie”, no surprise since Peggy is so small herself.  Now to get a handle on this new job of mothering…so far so good.
